Two Coil Transformer

1. Overview

The Two Coil Transformer component models an idealised magnetic transformer consisting of two coupled inductive windings. It allows the user to specify each coil’s electrical properties (resistance and inductance) and define the magnetic coupling between them using a coupling factor.

The strength of the magnetic coupling between the two coils is defined using the coupling factor kk, which ranges from 0 (no coupling) to 1 (perfect coupling). The coupling factor determines the mutual inductance:

M=L1L2M = \sqrt{L_1 L_2}
