Plot Settings

1. Overview

The plot settings feature enables users to tailor the appearance and presentation of their plots. This includes configuring elements such as axis labels, titles, legend entries, axis limits, and other visual or descriptive components that support clear and effective data representation.

2. Usage Instructions

  1. Plot settings can be accessed by clicking the settings icon Device Icon in the bottom right of the Results Visualiser.

  1. When pressed, the plot settings pop-up will appear. From here, the plot settings parameters can be adjusted as desired.

3. Parameters

3.1. Plot Data and Label

When data series are added to a plot, each series is automatically assigned a label to distinguish it from other series displayed on the same chart. These labels are shown in the plot legend.

Users may edit these labels to provide clearer descriptions or to support more effective comparison between multiple data series.

Each label is accompanied by a checkbox that allows users to toggle the visibility of the corresponding data series within the plot.

3.2. Legend

When two or more data series are added to a plot, a legend is generated automatically. The legend can be toggled on or off, and its display position can be adjusted according to user preference.

  • The internal legend is displayed within the plot area, positioned along one of the axes edges or in a plot corner.
  • The external legend is displayed outside the plot area, aligned along one of the plot’s edges.
